  • 5+ years’ experience in the energy efficiency industry is preferred.

  • 2+ years’ experience effectively managing and directing an outreach or sales team.

  • Dedication to providing great customer service.

  • Experience in planning and implementing outreach or sales strategies.

  • Experience in customer relationship management.

  • Proficiency with technology tools, including CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, computers, and smart phones.

Position Qualifications

  • Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our services.

  • Identify, develop, and execute communication strategies.

  • Promote existing energy efficiency programs within the community through excellent public relations skills.

  • Build, develop, and retain strong relationships with customer communities and partners.

  • Resolve sensitive inquiries and/or complaints from clients, customers, and persons receiving services

  • Manage a team to ensure smooth operations of program and business processes.

  • Learn and use multiple data tracking systems, maintain detailed logs, and report out on progress to goals.

  • Formulate strategic initiatives to increase brand and program recognition.

  • Work with the marketing team to plan and produce informational materials for various promotional and event opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with industry colleagues and partners.

  • Attend relevant meetings and events within the region as needed and/or required.

  • Coordinate, plan and execute outreach events and projects as needed.

Position Responsibilities

Our dynamic energy efficiency services company is seeking to hire a Market Outreach Manager who will oversee the building, organizing, and management of our energy efficiency outreach team.

The main responsibilities of this role include meeting program enrollment goals by developing and executing outreach plans, perform outreach activities within the target markets, and coordinate with our marketing team on lead generation. You will also be tasked with direct supervision of the activities and performance of your outreach team by setting individual targets, tracking progress, and facilitating ongoing mentoring of your team.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to lead an outreach team. Previous work experience or firsthand familiarity with energy efficiency programs is extremely important. A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field is required.
